Dr. Khalid Hussain BDS LDS RCS
Dr. Khalid Hussain BDS LDS RCS qualified from Guys Hospital London in 1985 obtaining the BDS and LDS RCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Since qualifying he has completed a rigorous regime of post graduate training in Manchester and London to put him at the forefront of his profession.
These included comprehensive training in Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry, Implants, Smile Makeovers, Fine Line & Wrinkle Treatment, Restylane, Chemical Peels as well as in General Restorative Dentistry and Preventative Dentistry and Sedation Techniques.
Khalid Hussains particular interest lies in Advanced Cosmetics, Implantology, Facial Reconstruction and Smile Design.
He is a member of an elite group of UK dentists who have gained experience with the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in the USA, having trained with Dr. Larry Rosenthal, the dentist of the stars in America.
He is one of the founders and owner of Lisburn Dental Spa
Dr David Buchanan BDS MFGDP (UK) RCS
David graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2004, and has worked in private practice in both Scotland and Northern Ireland. He has a strong passion for providing quality dental care with a gentle and personal approach.
He has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, including tooth whitening, tooth coloured fillings and smile makeovers. David is one of the few dentists in Northern Ireland to have achieved full membership of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD). This is the UK’s largest dental organisation that is dedicated to advancing the art and science of cosmetic dentistry.
In addition, David is an accredited dentist for the clear brace system, Clearstep. These virtually invisible braces provide a fantastic new alternative to conventional metal braces for straightening teeth.
In 2006, David became one of the youngest dentists in the UK to ever attain the MFGDP qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons, London.
David is currently undertaking the world renowned “Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry Course” in London, where he is learning from Dr. Chris Orr, one of the UK’s leading cosmetic dentists. This allows him to provide the very highest standard of cosmetic dental care for his patients.
David is also an aesthetic practitioner with Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group in Belfast. He has extensive experience in facial aesthetic techniques, involving fine line treatment and hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane ® and Juvederm Ultra ®.
Dr. Aidan O’Reilly BDS (QUB)
Aidan qualified from Queens University in Belfast. After attaining his BDS he then went to work in Kilmarnock in Scotland for his vocational training. He has attended many courses including cross infection and up to date techniques in crowns, fillings and root treatments. Aidan has an interest in root canal therapy but also enjoys the practice of general family dentistry with an emphasis on prevention.
He enjoys putting patients at ease and treating them with an effective treatment plan that will be successful.
His outside interests are any sort of sport but specifically coaching young children in gymnastics and watching movies.
Dr. Katharine Stewart BDS (Newcastle)
Katharine graduated from the University of Newcastle in June 2007. She has an interest in cosmetic dentistry and has attended a number of postgraduate courses in this field, including those by Dr. Larry Rosenthal and Dr. Chris Orr.
Katharine enjoys providing routine family dental care under the NHS and looks forward to welcoming many more National Health patients to the practice in the coming months.
Outside of work Katharine enjoys running, mountain biking and the weekends!
Dr. Alannah Field BDS (QUB)
Alannah graduated from Queens University in Belfast in 1992 and spent her first seven years in general dental practice in Castlewellan before moving to our well established practice in Railway Street.
Alannah is a very experience general practitioner and has been an Associate of the practice since 2000. She loves the variety of work in general practice an does her utmost to ensure that visits are as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Because of this she has developed a large and loyal group of patients here in Lisburn.
Allanah is committed to postgraduate education and strives to ensure that all her patients benefit from the most up to date techniques in dentistry.
In her spare time she spends time with her children and is very involved in their interests.
Paula Moore RDH (QUB)
Paula qualified as a dental hygienist from the School of Dental Hygiene in Belfast in 2003. She previously worked as a dental nurse from 1989.
Preventive dentistry and non surgical periodontal treatments are Paula’s particular interest and she is always striving through courses and self development to be able to offer her patients the very best in these fields.
Paula’s interests include reading, going to concerts and spending time with her family and pets.
